Question 1: In what ways does your
media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media
products?
This is my first evaluation question. It talks
about conventions and where they appear or are adapted in my film opening. I
have discovered that slide share is limiting, as it doesn't show the music clips,
which are incorporated into the slideshow. The music are shown below.

Discuss ways your sequence looks like
other films from within your chosen genre and in which ways it differs from
them. Refer to 2 or three films.
Saving Private Ryan- Music, Old man, Subtlety
Forrest Gump- Music, Titles Subtlety
Goal II- The sense of elegance to it with the
classical music over the football which is similar to the subtlety of our film
opening. Goal 2 dives straight into the action being more of a sport film than
drama.
Discuss why you have kept to the
conventions of the form. (how the film looks, feels, behaves similarly to
professional films)
We kept to the conventions mainly of a drama
because we wanted the film to be gentle at first and then show a huge contrast
between the old man and the young boy, like in Private Ryan, its portrayed
by the music, the shots are shorted and the pace feels more intense. We
tried to think about every physiological aspect of our film in order
to make our feel see as professional as it could be in the given
circumstances.

Using black and white colour change. Most sport
films start with the sport-taking place, but our film is more of a drama in my
opinion and that’s displayed by the music. The film challenges conventions by...
